Resource Room Paraeducator
About The Position
This posting is for a Specialized Program Paraeducator position. Under the direction and supervision of a building administrator, and under the supervision of licensed/certificated staff, all paraeducators perform tasks related to the instruction and supervision of students, prepare instructional materials, carry out behavior management plans, provide general health room support, perform limited clerical and reception tasks, provide personal health related services for medically fragile students or students with special needs, and other relative duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education (institution must meet five criteria of the Higher Education Act, all classes must be at level 100 or higher)
- Associate's degree or higher
- Passing the ETS ParaPro Assessment
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to the instruction and supervision of students
- Prepare instructional materials
- Carry out behavior management plans
- Provide general health room support
- Perform limited clerical and reception tasks
- Provide personal health related services for medically fragile students or students with special needs
- Other relative duties as assigned by supervisor
