About The Position
The Resource RN Certified administers, oversees, and documents medications as ordered by a healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy. Medication routes may include topical, oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous. The nurse assesses patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral and emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs, and gathers data relevant to patient care. The role includes planning care based on initial and ongoing assessments, providing holistic and comprehensive professional nursing care within the scope of practice, implementing appropriate interventions, and evaluating outcomes. The nurse also prepares patients for discharge and assists with coordinating post-discharge needs.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license for Washington (RN:WA), required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required within 90 days.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), required within 6 months.
- Pediatrics Emergency Assessment Recognition Stabilization, required within 6 months.
