This position assists with the admission process, delivers patient care promptly and accurately, and supports the Patient Bill of Rights and Hospital Mission and Values. The role involves assisting physicians and nurses with procedures, monitoring patient intake and output, and assisting patients with daily living activities. The Patient Care Tech also answers call lights, transports patients, stocks supplies, cleans equipment, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Collaboration with colleagues to achieve unit and organizational goals, participation in staff meetings and quality improvement plans, and adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and hospital policies are expected. This is a pool position scheduled on an as-needed basis.
