The Resource Nursing Assistant position for Wake's Resource Team requires floating to multiple facilities including Baptist, Lexington, High Point, Wilkes & Davie. This full-time role is responsible for assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders, and ambulation. The position involves measuring and documenting vital signs, intake and output, and patient data, as well as accurately documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The Resource Nursing Assistant will perform purposeful rounding, communicate patient needs to the RN, and participate in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Responsibilities also include ensuring patient call lights are within reach, collecting specimens, maintaining nursing area stock, cleaning equipment, and performing patient positioning and transporting duties. Additional tasks may include assisting with nutritional needs, maintaining skin integrity, providing post-mortem care, bladder scans, and adhering to infection prevention policies. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
