About The Position

Support and assist the Nurse Manager in the coordination of patient care. Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess and evaluate the needs of patients. Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality care. Delegates appropriately to other team members. Utilizes communication skills, leadership ability, time management and problem solving skills and teamwork to facilitate the daily operation of the unit. Makes customer needs a priority. Plans, implements and evaluates nursing care collaboratively in accordance with the scope of nursing practice. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph’s Health. Serves as the main clinical resource for any issues/questions related to areas of specialty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related field.
  • Two to three years of previous work related experience.
  • Registered Nurse licensure by the State of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 1 year ED RN experience.
  • Successful completion of BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC.
  • All employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be granted through the American Heart Association (effective January 2019).
