About The Position

MercyOne Clive Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. We strive to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state license as Registered Nurse
  • CPR/BCLS certification

  • ACLS
  • CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse)
  • Rehab experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Oversee respiratory care and outcomes alongside other measurable clinical metrics.
  • Perform bedside patient care.
  • Conduct real-time auditing and staff reeducation.
  • Work closely under the direction of the nurse manager.
  • Cover occasional shifts as a staff nurse or Charge Nurse (CN).
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
  • Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
