About The Position

Gilchrist Forest Products LLC is seeking a Resource Forester located in Gilchrist, OR. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Individual must work well in a team environment supervising the forestry department at this location. Primary duties for this position include: Handle all resource concerns and supply the annual needs for the Gilchrist sawmill facility. Initiate, operate, and complete contracts in a professional manner so that the interests of the company are fully protected, with the right product produced economically. Develop and execute logging plans to facilitate sort, log quality, management of contractors and cash flow. Administer acquisition of federal, state, BLM and private timber sale contracts. Appraise proposed timber sales, looking at quantity, quality, and operability. Manage log yard to ensure integrity of sample loads, rotation of decks, and yard maintenance. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Management or a natural resource related field
At least 5 years of experience
