Resource Forecasting Project Manager
About The Position
E2 Consulting Engineers, LP (E2) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Resource Forecasting Project Manager to support utility infrastructure and capital project programs. This role is responsible for leading resource forecasting, construction workload planning, material demand planning, and operational readiness activities across multiple projects and business units. The Resource Forecasting Project Manager analyzes complex data, develops forecasting models, identifies resource constraints and risks, and provides strategic recommendations to leadership to support business objectives and project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in resource forecasting, project controls, operations planning, scheduling, or data analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable leading meetings and coordinating across multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain accountability for deliverables.

- Experience with SAP, Power BI, or similar tools preferred.
- Experience supporting utility, infrastructure, construction, or capital project environments.
- Familiarity with construction allocation, workforce planning, or material forecasting processes.
- Experience collaborating with field operations, logistics, and project management teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly Construction Allocation Process (CAP) and Job Acceptance (JA) meetings.
- Partner with Project Management leaders to evaluate project readiness and determine construction issuance strategies.
- Prepare and distribute monthly batch information for field construction teams.
- Provide data-driven recommendations regarding the utilization of internal construction resources versus external contractor capacity.
- Track accepted/rejected work packages and maintain accurate forecasting records.
- Develop monthly material forecasts using planned capital project lists and SAP data.
- Analyze SAP Construction Units (CUs) to estimate annual material requirements.
- Validate forecasting assumptions and quantities with Gas Operations and Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Logistics and Supply Chain teams to support material planning and inventory readiness.
- Participate in continuous improvement and enhancement initiatives related to forecasting processes and reporting.
- Support forecasting and planning activities for New Business programs and capital project initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate project pipeline visibility and resource planning.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators that provide visibility into project demand, resource utilization, and forecast performance.
- Support business planning and operational decision-making through data analysis, forecasting insights, and scenario modeling.
