The Resource Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking Workforce Connections services. This position welcomes participants, assesses their needs, provides resource navigation, and connects individuals with workforce programs, community resources, or additional WCI services. Working collaboratively with participants, Career Planners, community partners, and staff, the Resource Coordinator helps ensure every individual receives timely, compassionate, and effective assistance.

Requirements

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while building positive relationships with participants, coworkers, and community partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn agency software, case management systems, reporting platforms, and other position-specific applications.
  • Successful completion of required WCI training.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and travel as needed to perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in human services, business, customer service, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience providing customer service, participant intake, administrative support, workforce development, human services, or related services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome participants and serve as the first point of contact for Workforce Connections services.
  • Assess participant needs and connect individuals with appropriate workforce programs, community resources, or WCI services.
  • Provide eligibility screening, appointment scheduling, resource navigation, and general program information.
  • Support Career Planners and program staff through participant coordination and administrative assistance.
  • Maintain accurate participant records and ensure compliance with program requirements and organizational policies.
  • Assist with outreach activities and help promote participant engagement and access to services.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
