Resource Clinical Assistant - CNA/PCT
About The Position
Employees in this classification provide patient care management to an assigned clinic through clerical and clinical duties. In the clinical setting, the employee receives direct supervision from a physician or nursing supervisor in oral or written form. In the office setting, the employee receives direct supervision from the department administrator. The work is performed under usual office and clinic conditions and may be stressful during emergencies. The position must be supervised by a Registered Nurse and is for use in the Resource Clinical Assistant pool only. The role provides direct patient care, including obtaining records, addressing chief complaints, performing treatments, and accurately obtaining vital signs as indicated. It also supports patients, families, and the care team, including coordinating patient care, and prepares rooms and areas for continued patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in the required specialty.
- Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty in which the work will be performed.
Responsibilities
