As a Resort Services Supervisor, you will notify the telephone company of switchboard operational difficulties reported by operators. You will maintain a record of incoming and outgoing long distance and tie line calls, noting duration and time of calls. You will also compile a phone directory, arrange for its distribution to designated personnel, and keep a record of directories distributed. Additionally, you will assign switchboard positions, determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow. You will issue written and oral instructions, assign duties, and examine work for exactness, neatness, and compliance to policies and procedures. You will study and standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of subordinates, maintain harmony among workers, and resolve grievances. You will prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates, adjust errors, and manage complaints. You will also train new team members and keep attendance records, and ensure faxes and mail are distributed and handled correctly. Finally, you will conduct a daily audit and trace any questionable phone problems.
