About The Position

In this role you will Patrol all areas of the property; assists owner/guests with room access. Monitors Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. Locks property entrances when required. Conducts daily physical hazard inspections. Responds to accidents, contacts EMS or administers first aid/CPR as required. Assists owner/guests/ team members during emergency situations. Notifies appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Defuses owner/guest/team member disturbances. Calls for outside assistance if necessary. Completes incident reports to document all Safety & Security related incidents. Handles all interruptions and complaints. Resolves safety hazard situations. Escorts any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation. Reports to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts. Completes a Safety & Security shift summary/daily activity report. Maintains confidentiality of all Safety & Security and property reports/documents; releases information only to authorized individuals. Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to general manager; and completes safety training and certifications. Welcomes and acknowledges all owners/guests according to company standards, anticipates and addresses owners/guests’ service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks owners/guests with genuine appreciation. Speaks with others using clear and professional language, prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely, and answers telephones using appropriate etiquette.

Ability to complete appropriate safety training and certifications

Ability to use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures
Ability to identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.

2-year Associate degree in related safety and security field or work equivalent.

Responsibilities

Responds to the scene of owner/guest or team member accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
Administers first aid/CPR to owner/guests or team members as required.
Assists owner/guests or team members during emergency situations, such as fire, evacuation, flood, severe weather, bomb threat, robbery, natural disasters, etc.
Notifies manager/supervisor, local police, or other appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents.
Communicates specified information regarding owner/guest or team member accidents to EMS/medical personnel as required.
Defuses owner/guest or team member disturbances/altercations in accordance with company policies and procedures, including summoning appropriate authorities if necessary, and documenting incident.
Responds to domestic problems with owner/guests and call for outside assistance if necessary.
Completes incident reports to document all Safety & Security related incidents such as theft, accidents, physical hazards, and fire alarms.
Handles business interruptions and complaints, such as suspicious individuals, civil disturbances or demonstrations, noise complaints, intoxicated individuals, etc.
Resolves safety hazard situations.
Escorts any unwelcome persons (e.g., trespassers, loiterers) from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation.
Reports to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and document all required information.
Calls for assistance using proper code responses.
Monitors Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system to ensure that any unusual behavior or emergency situation is dispatched to appropriate personnel for investigation and recorded.
Locks property entrances during designated times.
Conducts daily physical hazard inspections and reports any unsafe conditions or work practices.
Completes a Safety & Security shift summary/daily activity report to ensure that all information is properly logged.
Maintains confidentiality of all Safety & Security and property reports/documents and releases information only to authorized individuals.
Conducts investigations and gathers evidence related to theft/fraud or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints, and other owner/guest complaints and incidents.
Conducts interviews with relevant parties in order to obtain statements and information related to incidents.
Protects the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
Ensures uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
Follows company and department policies and procedures.
Protects company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
Conduct interviews with relevant parties in order to obtain statements and information related to incidents
Patrols all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment (e.g., flash light, high visibility jacket) to ensure owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist owner/guests with room access.
Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to promote a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Completes appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
Follows policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
Follows Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Uses proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Identifies and corrects unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
