About The Position

Resort Laundry Attendants are responsible for regularly washing, stain treating, sorting, and folding linen provided in the resort’s rental cottages.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated knowledge of general laundry procedures
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various laundry and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet

Nice To Haves

• 6 months in experience working in a laundry facility

Responsibilities

• Washes all linens and stain treats to ensure the cleanliness of linens is up to Sun’s standards.
• Loads washers to coincide with cycle rotations.
• Takes wet, clean items and loads into dryers.
• Sorts and folds clean linens and ensures linens stay organized.
• Maintains inventory of all detergent supplies and communicates needs to management.
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager.
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures the facility remains clean and free from safety hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.
