About The Position

Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort is seeking a Resort HVAC Technician to support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. The technician will demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members. This role involves ensuring the safe and proper operation of MEP systems, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, appliances, and household fixtures. The technician will also be involved in installing, repairing, and replacing various materials, leading small construction projects, and maintaining pools, spas, and water features. Proficiency in resort operations software, reading technical data, and professional communication are essential. The role requires safe use of tools and equipment, working with ladders and scaffolding, implementing safety practices, and communicating effectively with guests and management. Adherence to all company policies and professional representation of Westgate Resorts are expected.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain valid Driver’s license.
• CPO license as required by Resort HVAC - Universal EPA as required by resort.
• High school diploma or general education degree GED.
• The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Follow instructions without close supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of MEP systems following resort guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC and mechanical components.
• Diagnose plumbing fixtures, handle clogs, and conduct repairs and equipment replacements.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, such as breakers and contactors.
• Repair and troubleshoot appliances and household fixtures.
• Install, repair, and replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as needed.
• Lead small construction projects, including drywall, carpentry, concrete, and flooring.
• Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and maintenance of all MEP equipment.
• Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work.
• Proficient in operating resort operations software and devices (HotSOS and other applicable systems).
• Read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
• Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools needed for the job.
• Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Lead and implement safety practices and guidelines.
• Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property.
• Communicate and interpret guest needs with positive interactions to reach resolutions.
• Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
• Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.
