About The Position

This is an umbrella position encompassing multiple housekeeping opportunities across the resort, including: Room Attendant, Houseperson, Turndown Attendant, and Public Area Attendant. Specific assignments will be determined based on experience, strengths, and the operational needs of the resort. As a Resort Housekeeper at Nemacolin, you will play an essential role in creating an exceptional guest experience through the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail. Every interaction with a guest and every space you touch contributes to the feeling of comfort, care, and personalized service that defines a luxury resort experience. Whether preparing a guestroom for arrival, providing thoughtful evening turndown service, maintaining pristine public spaces, or supporting the housekeeping team behind the scenes, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering an elevated level of hospitality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying housekeeping supplies and equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, resort, custodial, or customer service experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare guest accommodations according to established luxury service and cleanliness standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, replenish amenities, dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and maintain guestrooms and assigned areas.
  • Complete detailed inspections of assigned spaces to ensure they are guest-ready and presented to resort standards.
  • Provide turndown service, including evening preparation of guestrooms and thoughtful placement of amenities and special touches.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate guest needs to the appropriate department.
  • Handle guest belongings and personal items with discretion, care, and respect.
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged items, lost and found, and other conditions requiring attention.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, recreational areas, and other guest-facing environments.
  • Routinely inspect assigned areas and address cleanliness needs proactively.
  • Ensure public spaces remain polished, inviting, and consistent with luxury resort standards throughout the day.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects, seasonal preparations, deep-cleaning assignments, and other housekeeping needs.
  • Transport linens, towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and other materials throughout the property.
  • Stock and maintain housekeeping closets, carts, storage areas, and workspaces.
  • Collect and transport soiled linens and refuse according to established procedures.
  • Support room attendants and other housekeeping colleagues with the timely completion of daily assignments.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, chemical-handling, and workplace procedures.
  • Demonstrate genuine care and professionalism in every guest interaction.
  • Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Anticipate guest needs and take ownership of opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor while working throughout the resort.
  • Communicate effectively with Housekeeping leadership and other resort departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Represent the resort's commitment to exceptional hospitality in every task, regardless of whether the work is guest-facing or behind the scenes.
