About The Position

We are looking for two dedicated, team-oriented candidates to join our Facilities Technician team at our Westwood Villas resort in Lake Harmony, PA! This is a full-time, year-round position with a work schedule of 8 AM - 4:30 PM, 40 hours a week. The role requires weekend availability (both Saturday and Sunday) and the ability to occasionally fill-in for night shifts. Robust benefits packages are available. The Facilities Technician supports the team with knowledge of all aspects of facilities maintenance, enhancing the property's work environment. This role responds to and attends to guest repair requests, communicating with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, identifying and operating shut-off valves, maintaining maintenance inventory, and communicating daily activities between shifts. The technician will display basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in various categories such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation. Tasks include surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough clean-up. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guest room items. Programming TVs, general housekeeping, and inventory duties are also part of the role. The technician must use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance and perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and sprinklers. Basic computer skills for inputting schedules and making temperature changes are required.

Requirements

Displays basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building.
Displays basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
High school diploma or G.E.D.; or one to three month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Supports facilities technician team with knowledge of all aspects of facilities maintenance.

Performs preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
Visually inspects tools, equipment, or machines.
Carries equipment (e.g., tools, radio).
Identifies, locates, and operates all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
Maintains maintenance inventory and requisitions parts and supplies as needed.
Communicates each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Performs all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough clean-up of the painting or repair area.
Tests, troubleshoots, and performs basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guest room items.
Programs TV's and performs general housekeeping and technician-related inventory duties.
Uses the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
Displays basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.

Completes appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
Follows policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
Follows Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Uses proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Identifies and corrects unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
Maintains proficiency of fire sprinkler and emergency power system and be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Fire and Emergency Rescue Teams.
