About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking individuals with a passion for pets to join their team as a Resort Associate, providing dedicated care for animals. Pet Paradise is a comprehensive pet care destination offering resort-style pet day camp, professional pet grooming, low-stress and high-quality veterinary care, and overnight boarding, all under one roof. The company operates in ten states with over 60 locations in operation or under development and is continuously expanding across the United States. Team members at Pet Paradise are responsible for ensuring that furry friends receive extra loving care and focused attention while playing and staying in a safe and entertaining environment. The role offers significant career development opportunities, including eligibility to apply for the Unleashed Leadership Academy for hands-on leadership training towards Supervisor and Assistant Manager positions companywide. Additionally, team members can apply for scholarships to the Dog Training Academy to become a certified Dog Trainer (Canine Behavior Specialist) or the Grooming Academy to become a certified Professional Pet Groomer.

Requirements

This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and maintenance of the suites
True passion for working with animals
Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs
Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material

Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with pets both inside the resort and outside in the play yards
Following directions on feeding times, amounts, and type of food
Maintaining cleanliness of suites and dog runs by disinfecting, washing floors, scrubbing walls and removing animal waste
Emptying trash, mopping all floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom
Monitoring and recording important information about our pets and reporting any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinarian services if applicable
Using proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management
Keeping dogs secure and maintaining a high standard of pet safety by following and adhering to the training policies
