About The Position

The Resin Mixer is responsible for preparing, measuring, and mixing resins, chemicals, catalysts, pigments, and other ingredients according to production specifications. This position ensures the proper color, consistency, and composition of materials used in the manufacturing of polyester sheet products while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, chemical mixing, or industrial production experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, formulas, and production specifications.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material quantities.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and protective clothing when necessary.
  • Ability to work around chemicals, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow production work orders, specifications, and formulas.
  • Measure, weigh, and mix resins, catalysts, pigments, additives, and chemicals in the correct sequence and proportions.
  • Monitor mixing processes to ensure proper color, consistency, and composition of materials.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished mixtures to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Make adjustments to formulations as needed to meet product specifications.
  • Operate mixing equipment and related machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor resin flow and material feed systems to support continuous production operations.
  • Perform material changeovers and prepare mixes for different production runs.
  • Clean, empty, and prepare mixing vats, tanks, and equipment for subsequent production runs.
  • Restock chemicals and raw materials as required.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals according to company procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Record material usage, production data, and inventory information accurately.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and production issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
  • Assist in other manufacturing and production operations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support team objectives and production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
