About The Position

This unpaid internship is designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Candidates may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university. The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Coastal Zone Management Group is seeking a Fall Intern to join their team. The intern will assist the Office of Coastal Zone Management with the implementation of the ResilientCoasts Initiative. In this role, the intern will have an opportunity to learn about the ResilientCoasts Initiative and will learn/be part of internal and external stakeholder engagement and collaboration, assist with overseeing resilience policies and projects, and work cross-agency on shared resilience goals.

Requirements

  • Strong reading comprehension and writing skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in coastal resilience/climate change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with stakeholder engagement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking progress on ResilientCoasts recommended actions.
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal and external stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in meetings with communities and consultants on resilience projects.
