About The Position

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? As a Resilience Coach, you will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive. This is an active, hands-on role that combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support. We are looking for positive, energetic team members who enjoy working with school-age children and creating meaningful connections every day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Candidates must be 20 years old.
• Hold a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 3 Certificate OR An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child and Family Services AND 1 year of experience working with groups of kids in 3rd grade or under OR A certificate of completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program OR A Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont AND 1 year of experience working with groups of kids in 3rd grade or under OR Successful completion of at least 21 college credits with an early childhood or school aged focus AND 1 year of experience working with groups of kids in 3rd grade or under
• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
• Serve as a role model by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience.
• Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities.
• Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
• Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
• Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills.
• Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
• Support student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.
