Bethany Christian Services is seeking a part-time Residential Youth Specialist for the 2nd shift. Rooted in Christian faith, Bethany Christian Services works to ensure children are safe, loved, and connected through family. Across 29 states, they strengthen families, support foster care and adoption, and walk alongside refugees with compassion. In this role, you will work with unaccompanied children seeking family reunification, older youth preparing for adulthood in a new country, and foster families. Your role will make a difference by actively participating in assigned activities, encouraging positive interaction and growth amongst residents, attending bi-monthly meetings with your supervisor, and following treatment guidelines by intervening in a caring and consistent manner. You will promptly conduct nonviolent crisis prevention intervention (CPI) procedures when necessary, oversee residents' daily routines, and serve as a residential advocate by presenting social and legal history at staff meetings. You will also provide updates on resident progress, functioning, and treatment goals. This position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and essential job responsibilities may vary based on program needs. You may also be asked to participate in Bethany-sponsored events and complete other assigned duties.
