About The Position

Oversight to ensure all metro residential facilities are adhering to DHS 245G standards and regulations. This role involves participating in licensing reviews and P&P reviews. The Director reports directly to the Vice President of Client Services and is the direct report for clinical supervisors at the facility. The position works with supervisors to assess program quality based on collected data and collaborates with supervisors and the Clinical Leadership Team on action plans for identified areas of improvement. Key responsibilities include implementing program and group rules, monitoring program documentation for compliance with Minnesota Statute 245G through regular chart audits, and implementing new policies and procedures as needed. The role requires sound decision-making skills, good judgment, and a realistic understanding of issues. The Director will review and respond to grievances, incident reports, and staff/client conflicts according to NBH policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves reviewing Comprehensive Assessments and client referral documentation, communicating effectively with the Intake and Outreach Manager regarding intake approvals and denials, and overseeing clinical staff. This includes providing support through weekly supervision with direct reports, attending skip-level meetings quarterly, and being responsible for hiring and overseeing the facility’s clinical staff. Training for new and existing clinical staff, developing and modifying the client handbook with clinical staff, providing supervision for clinicians, attending clinical and multidisciplinary meetings, completing disciplinary action protocols, discussing specific client cases, assigning caseloads, and signing off on treatment or discharge plans are also key functions. Reviewing client charts to ensure compliance is a critical part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must know and understand the implications of 245G, chapter 245A, 626.557, and 626.5572, and Chapter 260E.
  • Bachelor degree
  • Must have 3 or more years of work experience in direct service to individuals with substance use disorder.
  • Must have 3 years of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with substance use problems.
  • CPR Certification or attain within 30 days.
  • Must understand and follow NBH's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
  • Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.
  • Must possess a current Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and other computer skills.
