The organization seeks individuals passionate about creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable communities. The individuals served by Avalon often face challenges such as mental illness, substance use disorders, and chronic medical conditions, coupled with a history of chronic homelessness. Residential Support Specialists (RSS) are the 24-hour front-line support staff responsible for monitoring the front desk, assisting tenants and visitors, and providing hands-on help as needed.
