About The Position

Easterseals New Jersey has been serving individuals with disabilities and their families since 1948. Our services for individuals with mental health conditions offer support for daily living and community-based programs designed to teach essential life skills through instruction and practical application.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university OR a combination of 1+ years of college and at least 4 years of related work/life experience in direct care OR a high school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of related work/life experience in direct care required.
At least 1 year experience in a mental health group home setting required.
At least 1 year of management experience required.
Proven leadership, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including working with individuals with mental illness.
Intermediate computer skills including the ability to complete documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of state/local regulations.
This role requires driving as an essential function. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be subject to post-offer verification of driving eligibility consistent with company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations across multiple residential sites, ensuring compliance with licensing standards.
Manage the residential budget, staff schedules, and overtime.
Monitor fiscal, medical, and personal documentation for accuracy.
Participate in Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP) development.
Prepare and submit monthly operational reports.
Ensure accurate documentation to meet consumers' needs (employment, recreational, emotional).
