About The Position

Pathway Family Services is seeking a full-time Residential Supervisor for their residential facility. This role involves supporting youth with challenging behaviors in a therapeutic environment, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. The supervisor will lead therapeutic groups, teach daily routines, and implement positive behavior management strategies. They will also advocate for the youth, supervise direct service program staff, promote Trauma Informed Care, and ensure the safety and well-being of the children. The position requires adherence to agency policies, participation in on-call rotations, and collaboration with other departments and directors to improve program functioning. The role also emphasizes cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and compliance with accreditation and state standards.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of experience in a Residential Program
Attendance and successful completion of Safe Crisis Management training (provided by the Agency)
Attendance of the Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification Training
Completion of the online certification process to become Nationally Certified within the first year of employment
Valid driver's license
Meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients
Personal characteristics: respectful, integrity, enjoys engaging with clients

Responsibilities

Provides direct supervision of direct service program staff assigned to the facility and provides administrative expertise as required.
Promote Trauma Informed Care treatment modalities incorporated within the program, supervisory, and management activities.
Oversee and supervise a team of staff members working with children in a residential setting.
Provide guidance, support, and leadership to staff to ensure the safety and well-being of the children under their care.
Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and supervision at all times.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide training opportunities.
Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with other departments such as case management, therapy, and education to ensure comprehensive care for the children served.
Enforce and ensure adherence to all agency policies and procedures by staff members.
Serve as a point of contact for staff members regarding any concerns or emergencies that may arise during shifts.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of staff interactions, incidents, and progress reports.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and support.
Collaborate with the residential director and other supervisors to address any systemic issues and improve the overall functioning of the residential program.
Develops and implements procedures and controls to promote accurate and timely information flow.
Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
Advocates, promotes, and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities.
Follows all accreditation standards as well as state standards of oversight for the PRTF.
