About The Position

Intercept Health is a family-owned agency serving various mental and behavioral health, substance use, and foster care needs in Virginia. As a Residential Specialist, you will be responsible for serving as a positive role model for children and adolescents in a therapeutic placement who are in need of a structured therapeutic environment due to behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs. The Residential Specialist contributes to the formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans and works via role modeling to develop socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors within residents. This listing is specific to overnight availability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D with at least six months of experience working with children
  • Associate's Degree and at least three months of experience working with children
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Virginia Department of Health Profession's approved Human Service degree

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a positive role model for children and adolescents in a therapeutic placement.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans.
  • Work via role modeling to develop socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors within residents.
