About The Position

Looking to make a meaningful impact while leading a dedicated team? Join Embark Behavioral Health as a Residential Supervisor and support adolescents ages 12–17 as they work toward improved mental health and stability. In this role, you’ll guide youth mentors to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where both staff and residents can thrive. Each day, you’ll help lead operations, navigate challenges with confidence, and collaborate with families and clinical teams to drive real, lasting progress.

Requirements

  • Age: 21 years or older
  • Education: high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required
  • Skills: Quick decision-making abilities and a growth mindset aligned with Embark's core values.
  • Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screening and federal/state background checks in accordance with Missouri state laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred, particularly in adolescent programs.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Lodge Operations: Ensure smooth daily operations during your shift by adhering to procedures and safety plans, creating a secure environment for staff and residents.
  • Lead and Support Staff: Supervise and mentor up to 5 employees, providing guidance, onboarding, and training to foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Design and Facilitate Activities: Craft and lead engaging activities that empower teens to develop coping skills, empathy, and responsibility through collaboration on daily tasks.
  • Contribute to Treatment Planning: Provide insightful feedback in treatment team meetings to shape individualized goals and interventions while utilizing Embark's therapeutic programs, including de-escalation techniques and the CASA developmental framework.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Collaborate with leadership and the clinical team to effectively implement and follow through on safety plans in accordance with our comprehensive treatment model.
  • Participate in Rotating On-Call Duty: Serve as an on-call supervisor once every six weeks for one week, providing support for staff and residents as needed.
