About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Arlington Heights, IL, property. The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and grounds with a focus on efficiency, safety and asset protection. This role supports the Service Manager by managing expenses, performing preventative maintenance, conserving energy, and providing outstanding service to our residents. TLC Management is a Chicagoland-based company that exclusively owns, operates, and manages its residential communities. Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community is required.
  • Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems is required.
  • A proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the safe and proper use of common tools, cleaning products and supplies.
  • Be available to respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays.
  • Promote workplace harmony and uphold a positive company image.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily property walks to ensure cleanliness and address safety concerns.
  • Complete unit turns according to the property checklist within established deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Manager and Service Manager.
  • Manage expenses, perform preventative maintenance, and conserve energy.
  • Provide outstanding service to residents.
