About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Service Technician for our property in Vernon Hills, IL. In this position, you will maintain apartment homes, common areas and grounds; ensure timely unit turns; and meet residents' needs through superior customer care. If you are reliable, organized, professional and have strong technical skills and attention to detail, then this may be the opportunity for you.
Requirements
- 3 years prior maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community
- Knowledge of various maintenance functions including plumbing, pools, HVAC, appliance repair and installation, electrical, painting, snow removal, life safety and cleanliness
- Familiarity with computers
- Must have valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Maintain apartment homes, common areas and grounds
- Ensure timely unit turns
- Meet residents' needs through superior customer care
- Perform unit turn work timely to meet deadlines and with a great eye for detail
- Resolve work orders efficiently and with care
- Walk the property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
- Provide exceptional customer service to our residents and guests
- Work both individually and as part of a team to maximize occupancy and achieve property goals
- Observe all health and safety guidelines
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Community Manager and Service Manager
