About The Position
Heritage Home Service is hiring a Residential Service Plumber for its Portland, Maine team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential plumbing systems; troubleshooting homeowners’ plumbing issues; and performing upgrades and replacements. The plumber will explain repair and replacement options to homeowners, provide excellent customer service, and complete work safely and in compliance with local and state plumbing codes. The position also requires accurate job documentation and effective communication with team members. The company describes year-round work, a steady flow of service calls, and a supportive team environment. It provides a take-home company vehicle, tablet, phone, uniforms, and a tool allowance, along with ongoing training and professional development. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Maine Plumbing License.
- Gas License.
- Proven residential plumbing service experience.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
