We are seeking a Residential Maintenance Manager for our property located in the Edgewater neighborhood on Chicago's North Side. Requirements

  • Minimum three years experience as a Residential Service Manager
  • Advance knowledge of various maintenance functions and mechanicals including preventative maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair and installation and electrical
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some knowledge of computer use
  • Driver’s license with reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day maintenance operations of the property
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our residents
  • Work closely with our Property Manager to maximize retention and occupancy goals
  • Delegate maintenance tasks to subordinates
  • Comply with all Fair Housing and OSHA laws and regulations
  • Respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holiday
  • Order supplies and manage inventory control with established budgeted parameters
  • Provide pro-active preventive maintenance for the property
  • Assist PM with performance issues and reviews for the maintenance team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by our Property Manager, DOM and VPO
