About The Position

Our Program Support Specialists are responsible for maintaining safety, accountability, and order within our Residential Reentry Program (RRP), working directly with approximately 125 residents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and U.S. Probation. The role involves monitoring residents through counts, facility walkthroughs, and monitoring CCTV and GPS tracking. Responsibilities also include administering urinalysis and breathalyzer testing, responding to crises and executing emergency protocols, dispensing and recording medications accurately (requiring CBRF Certification), maintaining recordkeeping (daily logs, check-ins, and checkouts), facilitating intake processes and client orientations, and transporting residents as needed using agency vehicles. The position offers both DAY SHIFT (7am-7pm) and NIGHT SHIFT (7pm-7am) with a rotating schedule. A night premium of +$2.00 is offered for night shifts, and a premium of $2.00 is offered for weekend hours worked. The starting pay is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Working knowledge of computers, or willingness to learn
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must complete TB test and drug screening (on-site).
  • Completion of CPR, First Aid, CBRF Fire Safety, and Choking training within 90 days
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a state and federal background check.

  • Prior experience in corrections, human services, or security is a plus
