Residential Roofing Estimator
About The Position
Allcon Roofing is seeking an experienced Residential Roofing Estimator for their Upstate South Carolina location. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential roofing or construction estimating, with the ability to produce accurate bids that win work and are viable during production. Allcon Roofing has been a trusted name in the Southeast since 2007, specializing in commercial, industrial, residential, metal, and multi-housing projects. They are a GAF Master Elite Contractor with extensive system expertise. The residential division is expanding, and they need an estimator to match the volume while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Requirements
- Experience in roofing, construction estimating, or a closely related construction field
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Sharp attention to detail with strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without letting accuracy slip
- Strong communication skills for working directly with builders, architects, and internal teams daily
Nice To Haves
- Experience with STACK, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar digital takeoff tools is preferred
- Knowledge of residential roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal, shake, and slate is a plus
- Familiarity with low-slope systems like EPDM or TPO is a bonus
- Existing relationships with builders, developers, or construction professionals in the Upstate SC market would be a strong advantage
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for residential reroofs, new construction, custom homes, and occasional multi-family projects
- Review architectural plans and blueprints to determine scope, materials, and labor requirements
- Develop detailed material takeoffs and cost breakdowns using digital estimating tools and Excel
- Serve as a direct point of contact with builders during the estimating process, fielding pricing inquiries and clarifying scope
- Provide value-engineered options that help builders meet project goals without sacrificing quality
- Collaborate with sales, production, and operations to ensure clean project handoffs
- Maintain organized documentation, pricing templates, and estimating records
- Stay current on roofing materials, product options, pricing changes, and industry best practices
