About The Position
West Shore Home is seeking a Residential Remodeler to assist with safe and effective installations while following company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols. The role involves installing replacement windows and exterior doors in customers’ homes and providing a 5-star customer experience. The workday starts at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, where the installer loads materials and trucks before traveling to customer homes. After completing each installation, the installer cleans the work area, collects paperwork and payment, and returns to the warehouse. The position is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and follows a Monday-Friday schedule. West Shore Home is a technology-driven home improvement company specializing in bathrooms, flooring, windows, and doors. It operates in more than 40 locations and has over 3,000 employees.
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, or construction, or willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device to access company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 AM to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet customers, and establish rapport.
- Remove existing window and door components and install replacement windows and exterior doors.
- Replace trim.
- Clean up thoroughly and take care of the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols.
