About The Position
Hankin & Pack PLLC is a growing residential real estate law firm seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Paralegal / Closer. This position will be in-office, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule following completion of training. The ideal candidate will understand the entire closing process and be able to switch between all closing processes as needed. The Closer ensures all files are ready, all parties are informed, and all closings proceed smoothly. This role requires a customer-centric approach, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate understands all aspects of the closing process, including pre-closing, closing, and post-closing duties, and is committed to quality and task completion.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 5+ years of real estate closing experience with a law firm or title company
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Humble and teachable
- Strong task management skills with an ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Customer-centric - the customer always comes first!
- Solution-oriented - excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet programs

Responsibilities
- Manage Distribution Emails and ensure all emails are responded to within firm policies, distinguishing between software and distribution email responses.
- Communicate with Buyers, Buyer's Agents, and Lenders regarding closing questions, builder information, document status, figures, and updates.
- Adhere to Clients' Service Level Agreements.
- Prepare, revise, and balance HUD/ALTA statements with lenders and registers.
- Obtain funding approval from Lenders/Buyers.
- Monitor and assist the Pre-Closer with file ownership and accountability.
- Send final title documents to the title company insuring the transaction.
- Confirm all requirements on the Commitment are completed prior to closing.
