About The Position

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) is seeking a Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for the Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. This role is crucial in helping individuals involved in the child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice systems to overcome substance abuse and rebuild their lives. CSI has been a pioneer in community-based services for over 60 years, transforming lives through innovative programs. Due to contractual requirements, only male applicants can be considered for this position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field. (Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis).
• Male applicants only due to contractual requirements.
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs of FBOP required training, prior to working FBOP clients.
• Strong attention to details.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before scheduled shift.
• Conduct Urinalysis.
• Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
• Verify physical items passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search, and home confinement spot checks.
• Conduct common area, room searches, and perimeter searches.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on clients entering the facility.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident reports.
• Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm.
• Transport clients as needed in a Company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete required paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation.
• Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
• Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of shift.
• Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
• Monitor client's self-administration of medication.
