About The Position

As a Residential Program Counselor (DSP), you support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities, paid training, and career growth. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required; training is provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily living skills, including personal care, meals, and routines.
Support medical needs and appointments.
Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
Complete routine overnight safety checks when working overnight staff shifts.
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
