About The Position
The Service Plumber services, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems in accordance with local and national plumbing codes. The role calls for skill, attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work with a team and journeyman. The ideal candidate can interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure plumbing systems are properly serviced and functional. Western Heating & Air Conditioning is a family-owned company that has been in business since 1967 and acquired Veterans Plumbing in 2025. The company emphasizes ethical treatment of customers and employees and exceeding customer expectations. The position offers the opportunity to join a team of plumbers and develop skills with Western and Veterans Plumbing. The posting lists a salary range of $35.00–$40.00 per hour, with apprentice pay starting at $19.00 and journeyman pay starting at $35.00, depending on experience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of plumbing experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.
- Safety-consciousness and ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman license.
Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply lines, fixtures, and drainage systems.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and accurately.
- Operate plumbing tools and equipment, such as pipe threaders, soldering tools, and drain cleaning machines.
- Ensure work meets local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
- Document work performed, materials used, and recommendations for future service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area and appearance.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company with integrity.
