About The Position
Mikes Mechanical is looking for a Journeyman Plumber. The Plumber will provide routine maintenance and service to residential customers as well as trouble shoot issues and provide solutions. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Overtime may be required based on the needs of the business. The company offers up to a $10,000 relocation bonus, determined upon qualification.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a plumber or enrollment in appropriate schooling (determined by management).
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.
- Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history.
- Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the workday.
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must have good oral and written communications skills.
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
- Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel.
- Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- Use an iPad to create customer invoices and communicate with the office.
- Follow building plans and blueprints.
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in your company vehicle.
- Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
