About The Position

Cornerstone Valley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Oversight Specialist (ROS) to lead operations within a residential group home serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role combines leadership, staff supervision, program oversight, and direct support to ensure individuals receive exceptional care in a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment. This position is for a self-motivated leader with experience in developmental disability services and a passion for making a meaningful difference.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum 1 Year supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and insured vehicle available for work-related use.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other basic computer applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain: First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain: OIS Certification

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, train, and mentor Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Conduct staff meetings and annual performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff complete required training and maintain certifications.
  • Address employee performance concerns in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and supportive work environment.
  • Provide direct support coverage when necessary to ensure health and safety needs are met.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, licensing requirements, and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain program budgets, staffing schedules, and overtime management.
  • Oversee household maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and supply management.
  • Coordinate fire drills, safety inspections, and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Manage documentation, records retention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and support implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Ensure residents receive quality medical, behavioral, and social supports.
  • Coordinate medical appointments, medication management, and health-related services.
  • Promote community inclusion and participation in preferred activities.
  • Serve as an advocate for residents while protecting their rights, dignity, and personal choices.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with families, guardians, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Be available Monday through Friday for program-related emergencies and critical staffing needs.
  • Participate in an on-call weekend rotation.
  • Support crisis intervention and emergency response efforts.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance within Therap and other required systems.
  • Review and approve employee timecards and PTO requests.
