About The Position

We are looking for a Residential Mental Health Associate to join our team at our McKenzie Ridge SRTF in Junction City, Oregon! The Residential Mental Health Associate will engage with residents to provide treatment services prescribed by their therapist both in the community and in the program and document those services in the EHR (Electronic Health Record). They will provide direct treatment services to the clients according to their individualized treatment plan with a focus on individual treatment services such as Activity Therapy, Skills Training, Case Management, Community Psychiatric Support, and Crisis Intervention. They will also provide direct group treatment services to the clients according to their individualized treatment plan by utilizing approved evidenced-based curriculum. The Residential Mental Health Associate will provide direct skills training and coaching within skill areas including but not limited to independent living/self-sufficiency, education, navigating the medical community, community living, and/or as assigned. They will provide transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services. They will maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services. This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (Full Time Day)

Requirements

  • Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training.
  • Driving is an essential function of this position.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a DHS criminal background check.
  • Ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable.
  • Must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques and may require an individual to lift and transfer clients.
  • Must be 18 or older at the time of hire.
