About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York is seeking a dedicated Residential Manager to join their team in Clermont, NY. This role is responsible for coordinating daily operations of assigned residences, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations, and overseeing procedural routines including inventories and supply management. The Residential Manager will also manage staffing ratios, monitor benefit use and overtime, ensure staff receive necessary training, and oversee treatment team meetings and procedures. This position offers a rewarding experience in helping individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their long-term goals.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or 60+ credits required, but will consider substituting three years of experience in mental health field for the academic requirement.
  • Two years of progressively responsible positions in a residential setting that programs for the same population (age, diagnosis, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.
  • Pre-employment physical required.
  • Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required.
  • Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.
  • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
  • Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
  • Good manual dexterity.

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and manage an assigned residence.
  • Coordinate aspects of daily operations for assigned residences.
  • Oversee compliance to OPWDD regulations in the assigned residence.
  • Manage the daily operation and all procedural routines, including resident inventories, residence supply inventories, food inventories, and recreation supplies.
  • Ensure proper staffing ratios.
  • Monitor benefit use and overtime in conjunction with the Residential Director.
  • Ensure staff assigned to the house receive all necessary trainings during orientation and on an annual basis.
  • Ensure that Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings are prepared for and attended by assigned residence staff.
  • Ensure that Treatment Team procedures are followed and implemented when necessary.
