About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Residential Manager for their new SUD facility in Norfolk, VA. This role involves providing day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engaging with clients to create a supportive recovery environment, monitoring clients, enforcing policies, and fulfilling administrative duties. The Residential Manager will also oversee Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), providing training and support.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
Record and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
Oversee all BHTs on your shift and provide training and support
