Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Kingston, NY, this position is responsible for coordinating aspects of daily operations for their assigned residences in conjunction with the Residential Director. They will oversee compliance to OPWDD regulations in the assigned residence, as well as the daily operation and all procedural routines, including resident inventories, residence supply inventories, food inventories, recreation supplies, etc. The Residential Manager will ensure proper staffing ratio and monitor benefit use and overtime in conjunction with the Residential Director. They are responsible for ensuring staff assigned to the house receive all necessary trainings during orientation and on an annual basis. They will also need to ensure that Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings are prepared for and attended by assigned residence staff and that Treatment Team procedures are followed and implemented when necessary.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or 60+ credits required, but will consider substituting three years of experience in mental health field for the academic requirement.
  • Two years of progressively responsible positions in a residential setting that programs for the same population (age, diagnosis, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
  • Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.
  • Pre-employment physical required.
  • Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required.
  • Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.
  • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
  • Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
  • Good manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
