About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Residential Maintenance Technician who blends repair expertise with a strong inclination towards technology. This role involves working across scattered properties in Chicago, addressing various maintenance issues. You will be responsible for completing assigned work orders efficiently, documenting your work through mobile applications, and communicating with the office staff via your phone. The company, GC Realty and Development, has been in the Real Estate and Property Management business for 20 years and is experiencing significant expansion.

Requirements

Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or HVAC.
Must own a vehicle.
Must own tools.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Passionate about maintenance with a strong inclination towards technology.
Proficient with mobile technology for work order documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Proactive work ethic.
Team player with effective communication skills.
Successful completion of a criminal background check and professional reference checks.

Company vehicle available after 90 days (if one is available).

Responsibilities

Be assigned work orders each day, potentially more than one.
Fix residential maintenance issues related to carpentry, plumbing, drywall, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical.
Communicate with office staff through your phone.
Document work orders, take pictures, and close work orders through an app.
Drive directly from home to work sites and back home after completing tasks.
