This career service regional position has responsibility for review of all residential licensing applications received and processing of applications within required timeframes. This position is also responsible for conducting on-site monitoring visits at each assigned APD licensed residential facility using the Agency’s Residential Monitoring Tool. Receives new licensing application and review for completeness. Conduct review of the application and approve or deny the application within 90 days of receipt of a complete application. Complete the Central Abuse Hotline Records Search (CAHRS) form for each licensing application received. Ensure that the licensee or applicant has provided documentation to verify that the licensee or application has checked the FDLE sex offender/ predator database to determine if there are any registrants within a one-mile radius of the licensed/proposed licensed home. At time of site visit, verity that all employees of the applicant/licensee have been notified of all registrants within the one-mile radius and have signed and dated the FDLE printout. Conduct a monthly monitoring visit for each home with residents using the Residential Monitoring Checklist. Conduct a quarterly monitoring onsite visit for each licensed home with no residents using the Residential Monitoring Checklist. Ensure that at least quarterly each group home’s monthly site visit is unannounced. monitoring visit using the Residential Monitoring Checklist. At least 1 time per year ensure the facility is visited on a weekend or outside of normal business hours (8:00am- 5:00pm). Ensure that all personnel records are reviewed prior to initial licensure and annually as part of the license renewal process using the Personnel Record Checklist. Create and update all licensing information in APD systems including GRID and APD iConnect. Ensure GRID is updated after each monthly monitoring visit to reflect current residents and vacancies. If the home is applying to be licensed to serve individuals with mobility issues, verify at time of initial site visit or renewal site visit that the home meets the accessibility needs of the current residents. Document deficiencies noted in the applicant’s documentation or observance during the site visit in writing. Review and approve the licensee’s Corrective Action Plan to address identified deficiencies. Perform other related duties as assigned
