About The Position

The Residential Lending Loan Officer is responsible for originating all types of residential, secondary market loans, including purchase transactions, refinances, construction loans, lot loans, and bridge loans. This role ensures all account documentation is complete, accurate, properly secured, and adheres to compliance guidelines. The position also involves attaining monthly closed loan volume, completing applications thoroughly, exporting files to processing, and maintaining clear communication with customers, potential customers, and co-workers. A key aspect of the role is fostering relationships with referral sources in current and new markets through outside calls, active community involvement, and participation in marketing bank products and services. Support for bank locations and other assigned branches may also be requested. Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and duties may change.

Requirements

  • Experience with and a working knowledge of residential lending processes, documentation and compliance regulations.
  • Experience and knowledge of current government and conventional secondary market loan guidelines.
  • Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while managing deadlines in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrate an independent working attitude within a team framework.

Nice To Haves

  • Secondary market lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Originate all types of residential, secondary market loans including purchase transactions, refinances, construction loans, lot loans and bridge loans.
  • Ensure all account documentation is complete, accurate, properly secured and adheres to compliance guidelines.
  • Attain monthly closed loan volume.
  • Complete applications thoroughly and export files to processing.
  • Maintain positive, clear and on-going communication with customers, potential customers and co-workers, including a customer consultation with every loan application.
  • Maintain relationships with referral sources in current markets and seek referral sources in new and existing markets through outside calls.
  • Active community involvement and participation in marketing bank products/services.
  • Support bank locations and other assigned branches as requested.
