About The Position

ABC Home & Commercial Services is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join their Lawn Maintenance Team as a Residential Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader. This role involves leading a crew to provide professional lawn and outdoor space services to customers, ensuring high-quality work and excellent customer service. The company emphasizes a fun, stable, and challenging environment with a focus on work/life balance and building strong customer and employee relationships. This position is commission-based on productivity, with a potential first-year earning of $65k-$75k. Applicants must be local to the Austin area.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
  • Ability to work outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and still maintain good composure.
  • Experience working with routes, service stops, and meeting deadlines of your service route.
  • Dependable and self-motivated with a desire to work year-round.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Lawn Maintenance or relevant experience (working outdoors/labor intensive) preferred (1-3 years minimum)
  • High school diploma or GED desired.
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies property address/location before services begin.
  • Reads all notes added to route to ensure additional and special instructions are followed.
  • Ensures mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and all other lawn maintenance work is done in a professional manner.
  • Instructs crew members in the proper operation of mowing equipment and safety procedures.
  • Directs workflow and work performed by other members of the crew.
  • Greases and oils machines and equipment, checks blades for replacement or sharpens, reports any malfunctions for repair, and ensures all equipment needed for work is loaded and working properly.
  • Ensures trailer lights and gate are working properly, reporting any malfunctions for repair.
  • Identifies and reports any damages to customer’s property immediately to the Service Manager.
  • Inspects the work area before leaving the customer’s property to ensure all maintenance was provided according to contracted services.
  • Uses personal protective equipment at all times as required by safety standards.
  • Meets deadlines of route and informs Service Manager of all resets and skipped services or not completed work on a daily basis.
  • Inspects all equipment when moved to a new trailer and checks vehicles when a new one is assigned.
  • Responsible for knowing and following all company and department policies and protocols, including the PTO policy.
  • Attends required department meetings and company or vendor training as required.
  • Works on Saturdays when work is not completed during normal work days.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
