About The Position
Mountain Air is seeking an experienced HVAC installer to take on a leadership role in residential new construction. This position involves leading a team, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring high-quality installations of HVAC systems, ductwork, and indoor air quality systems. The role requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Requirements
- 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (new construction preferred)
- Experience in a lead role or readiness to step into leadership
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- EPA Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Lead residential HVAC installations for new construction homes
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and indoor air quality (IAQ) systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, and installation plans
- Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes
- Train, coach, and mentor apprentices and junior installers in the field
- Communicate clearly with homeowners, builders, and project stakeholders
- Maintain accurate job documentation including materials used, progress updates, and completion notes
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Troubleshoot on-site challenges and deliver timely, effective solutions
