Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • EPA Certification
  • 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong HVAC installation and troubleshooting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Dependable, honest, and professional work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations from start to finish.
  • Work alongside an installation helper.
  • Make sound decisions on-site.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Represent Happy Home Services with professionalism and pride.
  • Install HVAC systems and related equipment according to Happy Home standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Wire both line-voltage and low-voltage heating and cooling system components.
  • Install, braze, and solder copper refrigerant lines.
  • Install sheet metal ductwork and flexible duct systems.
  • Connect and install gas lines in compliance with applicable codes and safety requirements.
  • Pre-measure job sites and identify materials needed for successful installations.
  • Receive, inspect, and load equipment and materials for each project.
  • Collaborate with fellow installers and assist team members when needed.
  • Train, coach, and support installation helpers to build a high-performing team.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Complete job documentation accurately and on time.
  • Take and interpret system readings to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle.
